Amit Banerji

As a Director and founder of PMWorks, Amit is responsible for the ongoing business operations and development of new lines of business.

Amit has been in the Consulting Services industry for many years in both field consulting and senior management roles.  Prior to establishing PMWorks, Amit was a founding Director of EQuest Consulting, a recognised Project Management Consulting company. Before EQuest Consulting, Amit was a Director with Tier Technologies, where he was responsible for developing the consulting business processes to enable Tier Technologies to consolidate and integrate its acquisitions to form a functionally capable and resource rich services firm.  Prior to this, Amit worked for Hitachi Data Systems, where he headed the Systems Integration and Express Application Development practices.  Before Hitachi, Amit spent many years with Coopers & Lybrand in London and Singapore and KPMG Peat Marwick in London.

Over the years Amit has undertaken assignments for a variety of organisations, including Qantas, Nihon Michelin, London Electricity, Lloyds Bank, Greyhound Pioneer, Galileo, Singapore Airlines, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and British Airways.

As a Management Consultant Amit has led teams on assignments to develop IT Strategies to support business growth.  For the Insurance Corporation of Singapore, a strategy was developed to bring together the Life and General business units, to enable the corporation to exploit economies of scale for common IT processes and procedures.  Such studies involve multi disciplinary competencies that include IT, human resource and industry specific skill sets.

As an experienced IT Program and Project Manager.  He has managed several large international package implementation and system development projects for organisations such as London Electricity and Qantas Airways, utilising specialist resources from the United States, Europe and Asia.  Amit is experienced in negotiating contracts and establishing alliance partnerships.

Amit has extensive experience of working throughout North Asia and ASEAN.  His work over the last ten years has involved significant travel in Asia, this ncludes two and a half years as a Senior Manager with Coopers & Lybrand, based in Singapore but working throughout the region. In his spare time Amit enjoys playing squash, travelling and cooking.  Amit has a degree in Computer Studies.
